Stardew Valley Tilapia Fishing Guide – How and Where to Catch?
The Tilapia is a fish that can be caught in the ocean at The Beach or on the Beach Farm during Summer and Fall. It can also be caught during any season on Ginger Island West (freshwater) or North. In addition to these locations, Tilapia may randomly appear in Krobus’ shop on Wednesdays for 200g, or at the Traveling Cart for 225-1,000g.
One of the most appealing aspects of fishing for Tilapia is that it can be caught at any time of day or season using Magic Bait. This allows players to maximize their fishing potential and catch Tilapia whenever they choose, making it a valuable fish to pursue.
Magic Bait
If you don’t feel like waiting until winter and want to increase your chances of catching Tilapia, using Magic Bait is the way to go. This special bait allows players to catch any fish from that source, regardless of weather, time, or season. It can be attached to a Fiberglass Rod or an Iridium Rod, giving players access to a wider range of fishing opportunities.
You can purchase 20 Magic Bait from the shop in Qi’s Walnut Room for diamonds x5. Alternatively, the recipe to craft Magic Bait can also be purchased for diamonds x20, requiring the following ingredients:
- x1 Radioactive Ore
- x3 Bug Meat
Stardew Valley Tilapia Fishing Guide – Best Fishing Spot
The best place to catch Tilapia is undoubtedly Ginger Island, both in the west (freshwater) and in the north, as Tilapia can be found in all seasons there. This makes it a prime location for players looking to catch a large number of these fish.
Ginger Island is located in the Fern Islands archipelago. To reach this tropical paradise, you will need to go to Willy’s Fish Shop and find his backroom. After repairing the boat, you can buy tickets to visit the island. Keep in mind that tickets won’t be available until you complete the Joja Community Development Form or the Community Center in Pelican Town.
We hope that this guide has been useful to you and that you have learned how to catch a Tilapia.
